Could a traineeship be right for you?

Could a traineeship be right for you? If you are currently considering your career options and plans for the future, then a traineeship might be right for you.

A traineeship is an education and training programme that could be found in either the private sector or the public sector, which incorporates work experience and preparing young people like you for their future careers, by helping them to become 'work ready'.

Although employers are not required to pay trainees for the work placement, and traineeships are currently exempt from the minimum wage, many traineeships are paid positions, or they cover travel costs and other expenses.

The skills and experienced gained as a trainee will be valuable additions to your CV and will make you stand out to employers and recruiters once you are decided upon your chosen career path.

A traineeship could last from 6 weeks up to 6 months, so there will be a position to suit you. Aimed at 16 to 24 year olds, a traineeship is the perfect way to get you ready for an apprenticeship position, or a job.
